George Strait is going out with a bang. The singer, who is retiring from active touring after he wraps the Cowboy Rides Away Tour, sold out another show at a seriously rapid clip. The gig at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, scheduled for June 1, sold out in six minutes, moving 72,000 tickets. Demand for Strait remains sky high!

The King of Country is still notching career milestones deep into his career, as the sell out for his Alamodome was the venue's fastest and largest. Fans are obviously excited to see Strait perform, especially since he won't be coming through town regularly anymore.

The June 1 show will mark Strait's eighth time at the venue since he opened the facility. The venue is actually affectionately known as "The House They Built for George." So it's only fitting that the show sold out in record time.

Strait is hanging up his hat when it comes to full blown-touring, but he is not retiring from making music or from playing live shows. He is working on a new album due out in late spring, the current single of which is 'Give It All We Got Tonight.'

If the song tops the charts, it'll be the legend's 60th No. 1 single, which is just massive.

Want to help him achieve this accolade and give it all you got? Go here to join the movement and spread the word about the Sixty for Sixty campaign, so the song goes No. 1 before Strait turns 61 on May 18.
