Drug Smugglers Heading to Texas Replace Airbag With Cocaine, Die in Crash

Both the driver and the passenger died when they were involved in a car crash in Mexico.

Fox News reports that the smugglers replaced the passenger-side air bag compartment with bricks of cocaine.

According to the report, federal police said they were using the space to smuggle 55 pounds of cocaine.

They got in an accident and crashed in the town of San Fernando in the border state of Tamaulipas.

The passenger air bag did not deploy, and even though the driver's did neither of them survived the crash.
