Planning for the weekend you've got an assortment of entertainment, but leading it off is an opportunity to see a Celebrity Attractions show called "STOMP". Having been performed in 36 countries worldwide, it's the most financially successful Off-Broadway show in history! And you can catch one of three performances Friday and Saturday in Lubbock. STOMP was created in 1991 in the United Kingdom and offers a unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy. One reviewer from the St. Petersburg Times claims, "If rhythm is where you find it, STOMP is the Holy Grail of audio. Seek it for yourself". Call Select-a-Seat for ticket info.

Another live local show closes this weekend at Children and Adults Theatrical Studio near 34th and University. Word has it that it's a very funny version of the classic comedy, "You Can't Take It with You". Other events include music shows at the Cactus Theater in the Depot with Friday featuring 50s music and 70s on Saturday. At Triple J's Chop House and Brew Company, Mark Caraveo and Tony Davis offer acoustic sounds Friday and 7-Fold performs Saturday.

And for television viewing, ABC gives you the 84th Annual Academy Awards Sunday night. Looks like you've got quite a selection of fun events to fill your weekend. Check out this video of "STOMP" and see if it doesn't get your heart going!
