Coming up Monday, December 5 at 7 p.m. (central) is the 2nd Annual American Country Awards ceremony. The event is being held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be televised on FOX. There are two nominees, Jason Aldean and Zac Brown Band that are up for eight nominations each. Thompson Square has seven nods and The Band Perry and Taylor Swift have six nominations each.

The Grammy Hall of Fame is reaching back in the annals of history for their 2012 induction to include legendary performers like Gene Autry, Doris Day and Bill Cosby.

Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry is probably riding a major high after winning so many CMAs last week. Currently touring with Reba in the "All the Women I Am Tour", Kimberly says Reba toasted the trio for their recent recognition (CMAs for Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and New Artist of the Year).

Eli Young Band's "Crazy Girl" has been certified GOLD by the RIAA this week for sales of over 500,000 downloads.  By the time reports came in, the band had sold nearly 600,000 downloads.  The lead single from their forthcoming album, Life At Best, was an obvious hit with fans right from the start...

For the past 25 years the legendary Willie Nelson has hosted the Farm Aid concert, drawing attention to family farmers and their economic struggles. The first one in 1985, featured John Mellencamp and Neil Young. The 26th is set to be held near Kansas City, Kansas on August 13. To honor Willie to his work with Farm Aid , he's being inducted into the National Agricultural Hall of Fame.
