LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech soccer program is asking fans to blackout the John Walker Soccer Complex on Friday evening when the Red Raiders host Baylor in a 7 p.m. kickoff.

All fans are encouraged to wear black to the match as the Red Raiders will be opening an important weekend at home on what will be Senior Day. Tech will honor its five seniors – Jaelene Hinkle, Erin Inman, Bridgett Jenkins, Alex Romanelli and Paige Strahan – in a pregame ceremony prior to the match.

Tech is coming off an impressive weekend on the road where the Red Raiders recorded a pair of 1-0 shutout victories over both No. 9 Kansas and TCU. The two wins improved Tech to 12-3-1 on the season and 2-3-1 in conference play.

The Red Raiders are currently tied with Baylor and Oklahoma for fifth in the Big 12 standings heading into this weekend. Tech is looking to finish in the top half of the league standings for a fifth-consecutive season.

Following the Baylor match, Tech will turn around and host Iowa State in a 1 p.m. start Sunday afternoon to close the regular season.

Fans can purchase tickets for both matches this weekend at the John Walker Soccer Complex entrance or by calling 806-742-TECH.
