Victims Identified in Deadly Sudan, Texas Train-SUV Crash
The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the names of the victims of a deadly SUV-train accident that occurred on Saturday morning.
Around 11 a.m. on Saturday (April 23), a south-bound Chevy Equinoxon traveling on County Road 115 two miles east of Sudan failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming train.
Ismael Ojeda (48) was a passenger in the SUV at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Alicia Molina (47), and a three-year-old passenger whose identity has not been released, were flown to UMC via Aerocare with incapacitating injuries.
No one was injured on the train.
DPS continues to investigate the crash.
