The 23rd-ranked Texas Tech baseball team took a trip to Houston to compete in the Shriners Hospitals for for Children College Classic and came home with two wins and a loss after a weekend of action.

Friday, Tech did battle with no. 9 Houston and rode two seventh-inning runs to victory after relief from Hayden Howard and Davis Martin held true to seal the 3-2 win.

Saturday, the Red Raiders went to extras with the no. 6 Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette and were able to manufacture two 10th-inning runs to clinch a 5-3 victory.

Sunday, no. 18 Arkansas answered Tech's five-run first inning with seven of their own in the third and fourth. The Razorbacks would go on to win 10-6.

Tech improved to 6-2 after the weekend and will host New Mexico State for two games starting Tuesday.
