With a Winter Weather Advisory set to continue for most of the South Plains until 6 a.m. Wednesday, some school districts have announced delays or cancellations.

The National Weather Service says 3 to 5 inches of snow may be possible beginning Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 4, in Lubbock and the South Plains area.

A strong cold front will be arriving overnight through the early morning hours, and behind this front is gusty wind with some of the coldest air of the season.

Lubbock and surrounding areas could see several rounds of severe weather Monday and even late Monday night (May 20th) into Tuesday morning.
