Dick Clark

By this time you've probably heard entertainment mogul extraordinaire Dick Clark died last Wednesday at the age of 80 of a heart attack. Clark gave the public so many entertainment scenes, from "American Bandstand" which he emceed from the 50s to the 80s, to "Bloopers and Practical Jokers", among a number of other television shows. But the last few decades we all cheered as the ball dropped on his "New Year's Eve Celebration in Times Square".

When you say Dick Clark, the dance show American Bandstand immediately comes to mind. Through that show he brought us all the top names in rock and roll and pop music. But he also was involved on the country side of things as well.
