When Did Denton and Madalyn Bassett First Meet In Texas?

As reported by KWTX, the two would-be lovebirds met during the 1940s. Madelyn was invested in education, while Denton was focusing on Ministry. For the two to meet, it would take just a single meeting to do so. Thankfully, it did happen.

When they finally met between their respective freshman-sophomore years, the stage was set for whirlwind romance. The relationship began, and then in 1950, the vows of marriage happened in the city of Houston, Texas. Since then, they've been together for 75 years.

But, how did they celebrate the moment?

How Did Denton and Madalyn Bassett Celebrate 75 Years Of Married Life?

Per KWTX, for the big moment, multiple individuals came to celebrate the couple. Around 100 people, who were involved in the couple's lives over the years, which warmed their hearts. Nancy Eaton, the daughter of the couple, said to KWTX:

“We didn’t think that this was going to come to fruition a couple of years ago. It’s a blessing...“It was one of the sweetest and most genuine parties I’ve ever been to.”

But there's one major question that remains. How has the couple stayed for a long period of time? Well when asked by KWTX, Madalyn said “when you say ‘I do’, you mean ‘I do’.”
