These Country Stars Have Lowered the Prices on Their Stunning Homes — See Inside! [Pictures]
We all know that country stars have the money to live large, and some of them do exactly that, in massive and expensive homes that rival anything a Hollywood celebrity might live in. But those stunning homes come along with stunning price tags, and that doesn't always mean an easy road when it comes time to sell.
That's a lesson that several country stars have learned first-hand when they listed their high-dollar homes for sale.
Trisha Yearwood, Ray Stevens and the owners of Johnny Cash's former family estate are among those who found that out the hard way that a celebrity pedigree doesn't necessarily mean a house will sell for its initial asking price.
Those are the most recent examples, but they're hardly the only ones. Kelly Clarkson, George Strait, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman and more have been forced to slash the prices on some of their mind-boggling properties in order to get them sold over the years, as you'll see in the photos below:
Trisha Yearwood
Trisha Yearwood has been trying to sell her Southern manor home in Nashville off and on for several years. She previously listed the house for $4.5 million in May of 2023, then re-listed it for $3.95 million in April of 2024.
So far, the house remains on the market at that price.

Ray Stevens
Ray Stevens first listed his palatial estate in an exclusive part of Nashville for sale with an asking price of $8.2 million in August of 2023 before removing the listing that December. The Country Music Hall of Famer relisted the property in April of 2024, asking $6.9 million, before slashing the price to $5,960,000 in June.

Kellie Pickler
Kellie Pickler first listed her luxurious Nashville home for sale in November of 2023, asking $2.89 million. The country singer and television personality lowered the asking price to $2.6 million in March of 2024.
Pickler sold her 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 4,865-square-foot mansion for $2.3 million in a sale that closed on May 15, 2024. She shared the house with her late husband, songwriter Kyle Jacobs, who died there from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in February of 2023.

Rayna Jaymes
Okay, we know ... Rayna Jaymes isn't a real country star, she was a character on Nashville, played by Connie Britton. But the palatial house that she lived in on the show is a real-life Nashville property with a long pedigree, and even though it's a jaw-dropping estate, the owners had a pretty difficult time selling it.
The extraordinarily high-end estate had been on the market off and on for several years. It first listed for $22.5 million, and eventually dropped to $13.5 million before going up for a no-reserve auction in late 2023. The 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom, 20,533-square-foot estate ultimately sold for just $4.65 million.

Jason Aldean
Jason Aldean is one of the biggest real estate movers and shakers among the younger generation of country stars, but even he had to lower the price on one if his luxury properties to sell it off. Aldean listed his rural mansion for $7.875 million in 2018, and as People magazine reported, sold it for $7 million in February of 2019.

George Strait
George Strait originally listed his San Antonio estate for $10 million in 2018 before reducing the price to $8.9 million in 2019.
The country music icon reduced the price again to $7.5 million in January of 2021 and dropped to $6.9 million that October. He finally sold the lavish property at the end of 2021, but the final selling price was not disclosed.
