In the newest installment of her Dumb Blonde podcast, Bunnie Xo revealed that she's started taking a medication called tirzepatide to help her lose weight.

In an episode that dropped on Friday (Oct. 4), she said she was on her "second day" of the medication. Bunnie shared her experience so far with the medication, including the side effects she's dealing with and why it was such a big decision to her to start taking the drug in the first place.

"I was so scared to take it, dude," Bunnie admitted, who's been vocal in the past about her preference for eating cleaning and being discerning about any products or supplements she puts in her body.

"So for me to even take tirzepatide is a huge decision. So I had a nightmare about it the night before," she continues.

Bunnie -- a podcast host and social media influence, who's also known as wife to country superstar Jelly Roll -- explained that she's "microdosing" the medication. "I'm not starting out at a normal level," she notes.

Tirzepatide, which is approved to treat diabetes and weight loss, is sold under the brand names Mounjaro and Zepbound. It was initially administered only via injection, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), but the Advisory Board reports that the drug was being packaged in an oral pill form as of mid-2023. Bunnie didn't specify which method she's using to ingest the medication.

As for side effects, Bunnie says she's experiencing a noticeable bump in her appetite.

"I'm hungry as s--t," she states. "...I ate way over my calories today. But I'm eating a bunch of healthy s--t, like protein and veggies.

"Why am I so hungry on this s--t? I don't know," Bunnie added.

Even though she's taking a small dose, Bunnie says the medication "sent me for a loop" after her first dose, especially in terms of gastrointestinal side effects. "I s--t my brains out," she goes on to say. "...I also got sick. I felt like I was gonna projectile vomit. So I had to eat watermelon, and then that made me feel better."

She wrapped up the conversation by saying that she's disclosing her tirzepatide journey in the interest of being transparent with her fans. "I'm always gonna be honest with you guys," she noted.

Jelly has also been open about the fact that he's on a weight loss journey this year. In April, he said he was down 70 pounds, and that he was hoping to lose another 100-plus. The singer didn't mention any medications to assist him in his goal: He has said he's walking regularly, eating healthy and working with a fitness advisor.

Jelly and Bunnie are both on the road right now for his Beautifully Broken Tour, a trek set to continue through the end of the month. His new album, also called Beautifully Broken, is due out on Oct. 11.
