
94th Annual Caprock Roundup Set for Claude, Texas
Just because the 4th of July is over doesn't mean other celebrations have to end. There is still plenty of time left to celebrate the summer and all the activities around the Texas Panhandle.
About 30 minutes east of Amarillo is the small town of Claude. Although Claude may be small, they know how to celebrate. That's why you need to mark your calendars for Saturday, July 11th, because they are celebrating big, and it's a celebration you don't want to miss. It's a celebration that has been going on for 94 years.
The Caprock Roundup Celebration
This is the perfect event to get you and the family out of Amarillo for the day and celebrate Claude in a big way.
It's a 3-day celebration with the main events going down on Saturday, July 11th.
Thursday: Claude Farmers Market
If you're looking to pick up some produce, jams and jellies, artisan breads, crafts, and more, then don't miss out on the Claude Farmers Market on Thursday, July 9, from 6-8 pm. Vendors will line up with their wares on the Armstrong County Courthouse Square.
Friday: Horseshoe Tournament and Food Trucks
On Friday, July 10, don't miss the Derek Hatfield Memorial Horseshoe Tournament at the Bert Wooldridge Arena at 601 Campbell Street. Registration begins at 6 pm. Cost is $50 per team. Food trucks and a bounce house will also be on site. The event is free to watch.
Saturday: Parade, Rodeo, and Free BBQ
- The event kicks off at 9 am, enjoy vendors on the square, and grab breakfast or lunch from one of the food truck vendors.
- 9 am Old Settler's Reunion - East Side of the courthouse lawn
- 10 am Parade-Route west on Orient Street, north on Collins Street, west on Fourth Street, north on Trice Street, and around the Courthouse Square

- 11 am Pet Show - Main Stage
- 11:30 am Live Music from Glen Spiller and Bunk Skelton on the Main Stage
- 12 pm Free Caprock BBQ lunch - donations welcome

- 12:45 pm Live Music by Johnny Petty Main Stage
- 2 pm Armstrong County Pageants - Gem Theater, 120 Trice Street

Caprock Roundup Youth Ranch Rodeo
Bert Wooldridge Arena, 601 Campbell Street
- 5 pm Gates open
- 6-9 pm Youth Ranch Rodeo
- 8:30 pm Concert - tickets required
Tickets and Concert Details
Claude Chamber Concert with Tristan Roberson and opener Nelson McKinney
The concert will take place at Bert Wooldridge Rodeo Arena after the rodeo.
Cost for the rodeo and concert is $15 per person in advance, kids under 5 are free, or $25 at the gate. You can purchase tickets here.
