Texas Tech Softball Faces Texas In The Women’s College World Series Championship

Texas Tech Softball is now just two wins away from a national championship.

It's been a magical year for Texas Tech Softball, and the ride isn't over yet. In fact, Texas Tech Softball will be playing for their first ever National Championship. They just have to win 2 out of 3 games again the Texas Longhorns.

Texas Tech was able to get to the Championship series by taking down Oklahoma on Monday 3-2. Oklahoma was looking for their 5th consecutive title.

Texas Tech vs. Texas on Wednesday

Texas Tech Softball will meet the Longhorns in the championship series starting Wednesday evening. The best of three series takes place at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

First pitch will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. with Game 2 slated for Thursday at 7:00 p.m., and Game 3, if needed, would be on Friday night.

All games can be seen on ESPN.

If Texas Tech wins the series, it would be Texas Tech Softball's first National Championship. This will be the first championship series between two schools from the same state.
