Police in Austin have arrested the owner of a mortuary after she was accused of abusing corpses, forged death certificates, and even cut off limbs. The suspect, Adeline Ngan-Binh Bui, who is 50 years old, turned herself in to the Travis County Jail on April 18.

According to KXAN, Bui's arrest warrant lists Capital Mortuary Services in Austin as the place that the alleged crimes took place. KXAN also reported that Bui is listed as the owner and director.

Complaints Led To Texas Mortuary Director Being Accused

KXAN reports that a former employee complained that Bui had "“fraudulently initiated and obtained at least 10 death certificates under his name,” and that he was aware of “experiments” Bui would allegedly conduct on corpses’ arms.

Bui is accused of running experiments on some corpses. She would allegedly inject formaldehyde into the arms to the effects on severed extremities.

Bui Admits to Experiments

According to KXAN, Bui admitted to conducting experiments on different bodies.

Bui told APD she “directed her employees to conduct experiments on bodies to study the effects of embalming fluid with and without formaldehyde,” which included “cutting heads, arms and spines from remains sent to her facility while acting in the licensed capacity as a mortuary,” according to her arrest affidavit.
