Here’s What the Lunar Calendar for Texas 2025 Looks Like
2025 is packed full of crazy moons, meteor showers and other lunar events that are sure to keep your eyes fixed to the skies this year.
We kick off the year with the first meteor shower of 2025 in January: The Quadrantid meteor shower. The Dallas Morning News teases that the peak of this shower may reveal as many as 120 meteors every hour!
Meteor Shower and Lunar Eclipse
Your best chance of viewing will be during the wee morning hours as the moon is still in the sky. Staying away from major city streetlights is a good idea as well. To make it even better, the peak of the Quadrantid meteor shower is set to occur during a crescent moon, so not much to compete with as far as the moonlight is concerned.
There will also be a total lunar eclipse on March 14! No matter where you are in Texas, you will see this huge event. Timeanddate.com reveals the eclipse map that will take place on March 14:
