The City of Lubbock issued a press release on Thursday warning citizens that a test of the Outdoor Warning System would be happening. So don't freak out if you hear the sirens going off.

According to the City of Lubbock, the test will happens at about 9:30am and will last for 3 minutes.

The City of Lubbock tests the Outdoor Warning System every second Friday of the month. If there is a 10% or greater chance for a thunderstorm, the test gets canceled.
