Another Restaurant in Lubbock Will Soon Close Its Doors For Good
We aren't off to a great start in 2025 when it comes to restaurant or business closings, but we all know it's a tough business to be in, even in a town that likes to dine out like Lubbock.
Lubbock is set to lose another restaurant in mid-January. This restaurant has been around in Lubbock since 2019 and was part of the larger development of 114th Street in Southwest Lubbock.
Costa Vida which opened in its first West Texas location in Lubbock in 2019 is set to close on January 15th the company confirmed to us on Thursday. Costa Vida opened at 4410 114th Street and was one of the first restaurants that opened in the area that has seen huge growth and lots of construction in recent years.
Costa Vida served what they called "Fresh Mexican Food" that included burritos, nachos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, baja bowls and more.
Costa Vida joins Pei Wei and Sprinkles as businesses that have closed or have announced that they will be shutting their doors for good in Lubbock in 2025.

Costa Vida will still have five locations in Texas and one in New Mexico after the location in Lubbock closes on January 15. Until January 15, Costa Vida's hours will remain the same, 10:30am to 9:00pm and closed on Sunday.
