Blue Bell Ice Cream Is Bringing Back Cookie Cake

Blue Bell Ice Cream announced on Thursday that a blast from the past would be hitting store freezers beginning today. Cookie Cake Ice Cream which was launched in 2019, but went away in 2020 is back... for a limited time only of course.

Cookie Cake Ice Cream is described by Blue Bell as "sweet cream ice cream loaded with chocolate chip cookie cake pieces and swirls of chocolate and vanilla icing."

Blue Bell Ice Cream Has Brought Back Other Flavors Recently

Cookie Cake isn't the first flavor that Blue Bell has brought back. They recently brought back Groom's Cake and Banana Fudge.

So why all the comebacks for Blue Bell? They recently held their Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament (Groom's Cake won) and Cookie Cake was the runner-up. In a press release Blue Bell said based on consumer demand and to keep the ice cream aisle exciting, it was time.

"Periodically, ice cream flavors are brought in and out of rotation, based on consumer demand and to always keep the ice cream aisle exciting! Cookie Cake Ice Cream is being brought back to stores for a limited time."

That's a good enough reason for me. Even though I'm a Cookie's and Cream guy, Cookie Cake was very good. In fact, I'll probably pick some up this weekend. Blue Bell's Cookie Cake is now available in half gallon and pint size.
