Uncovering The Boozy Habits Of Cowboys Fans On Super Bowl Sunday
Look, let’s be honest—Cowboys fans haven’t had much to celebrate in almost 30 years. So when Super Bowl Sunday rolls around, they do what they do best: crack open a cold one and forget their pain!🍻
A new poll looked at which NFL fanbases will be the drunkest on Super Bowl Sunday, and while Baltimore Ravens fans took the top spot with 3.8 drinks per game, Cowboys fans weren’t far behind. In fact, they landed in a six-way tie for fifth place, averaging 3.5 drinks per game. Which almost seems LOW!
But here’s where things really get interesting: Cowboys fans are also the MOST likely to drink so much that they miss part of the game. Yes, you read that right. More Cowboys fans than any other team’s fans will black out, pass out, or wander off mid-game. The Eagles come in second on that list, followed by the Chiefs in fifth place.
At this point, it makes sense. Cowboys fans are basically running on a cocktail of nostalgia, disappointment, and whatever’s left in the cooler. Every year, they start the season with Super Bowl hopes, only to be crushed by about Week 14. By the time the actual Super Bowl rolls around—without Dallas in it—many fans have already decided they’ll be watching through a beer-goggled haze.
And let’s not forget: Cowboys fans are also among the most likely to pre-game before the Super Bowl even kicks off. That means by the time the coin toss happens, half of them will be yelling about the ‘90s, still blaming refs for the Packers loss, and trying to remember where they left their drink!
Now, to be fair, Dallas isn’t alone. The Bears, Bills, Chiefs, and Lions fans are also likely to start early. But Cowboys fans taking the top spot for missing the actual game? That tracks.
So, if you know a Cowboys fan planning a Super Bowl party, do them a favor—make sure they eat something, drink some water, and maybe write down their fantasy football regrets before they forget everything by halftime.
