Chaos ensued after a boat came loose on a Texas highway.

I’ve always heard the two best days in a boat owner’s life are when they buy it and then when they sell it. While I’ve never owned a boat, I can see how that would be the case.

But I can’t help but wonder if the person whose boat came loose and went flying down the highway is thinking it may be time to sell that thing.

Or maybe they’ll just do a better job of securing it the next time they decide to head to the lake.

In fact, I would say the video below would serve as a great public service announcement (PSA) for boat owners and those who are considering taking the plunge and buying one because that sucker could have caused some serious damage.

Can you imagine what it would have been like if the boat had come loose in heavy traffic? That would have been ugly (and quite possibly deadly).

Luckily, the only thing that was damaged was the boat itself as the canopy was ripped off by a tough-as-nails road sign. Like one of the folks commenting on the clip, I’m impressed at just how tough that sign is.

Anyway, boat owners beware. Lest you look up one day and see the boat you were towing go flying past you.
