Texas Teen Charged With Murder: ‘Make Sure You Die Slow’ Said To Victim
An 18-year-old Texas man has been charged with murder after shooting a man who was changing a tire in his driveway, according to KGNS News.
According to arrest records, Brandon Michael Davis of Eddy, Texas, allegedly shot and killed Dustin Nobles on Sunday, January 5th.
After shooting the man in the upper chest, it is reported that Davis said, "Make sure you die slow."
Eddy, Texas is a small town of under 1500 people near Waco, Texas. First responders attempted to revive the shot man, however, he was pronounced dead at 1:04 p.m.
The shooting occurred on the 1300 block of Old Moody Road after an argument about the time it would take for Nobles to change the tire.
Police spoke to two witnesses after detaining Davis. The first witness informed police that he was there to wake Davis up. He told Davis that Nobles was changing a tire in the driveway.
The witness went on to say that Davis told his grandfather to tell Nobles to leave. His grandfather returned into the home to tell Davis that Nobles said it would take him 20 minutes to finish with the tire.
Not satisfied, Davis told his grandfather that Nobles had 10 minutes to leave. After seeing his grandfather and the man argue through the window, Davis went outside to confront Nobles.
The witness said he ran after Davis in an attempt to tackle him, according to the affidavit. Before he could, the witness said he heard Nobles say, “Come at me,” curse Davis and a pop.
Police found a .22 caliber casing in the driveway and a .22 caliber rifle inside the home. Police also found evidence (a tire and a toolbag) that Nobles was changing a tire.
After being shot, Davis said Nobles yelled out that he was dead, and Davis replied, “Make sure you die slow,” according to the affidavit.
According to the McLennan County jail roster, Davis is being held on a murder charge with a $750,000 bond.
