Lubbock’s School of Rock Hosts Grand Opening Event For New Building

School of Rock Lubbock is hosting a big grand opening event for their new building, located at 6827 82nd Street, this Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 3 to 5 pm. The event will feature live music, a tour of the new facility, a ceremonial guitar-smashing, and autographs from current students and alumni.

If you have children that are interested in playing an instrument, or if you've been curious about learning to shred like a rockstar, this event is a great way to get yourself acquainted with some of the most talented musicians and teachers in Lubbock. They've created a safe place for people in our community of all ages to learn and grow their talents.

School of Rock Lubbock's Music director Mark Morgan is incredibly excited to show off the new digs to everyone in town. He took a second out of his busy schedule to tell us a little bit about this weekend's event:

"We hope you'll join us in our new space as we celebrate 10 years of rocking West Texas! We'll have performances from our House Band and Staff Band, student and alumni wall signings, ceremonial guitar smashing, and tours throughout the event. The success of this program is a direct reflection of the incredible staff and families we've had throughout the years and we look forward to celebrating with them this weekend!"
