Boba tea, k dogs, and mochi donuts? What more could you want?

Soon, Lubbock will be able to enjoy all these Asian snack treats and more, as Kokomo has announced they will be opening this March (2025).

There are currently two Kokomo locations in Midland and Odessa. Lubbock's location will be at 5217 82nd Street, Suite 106 in the same shopping center as Caprock Cafe and Food King.

According to their website, the eatery offers several delicious and exciting snack foods, including:

Mochi Donuts- mochi donuts are made of a hybrid batter that is "fluffy and moist, with a satisfying chew," according to the wiki on the subject. I have never tried a mochi donut but I am very excited for the opportunity to try them.

According to Kokomo's website, there will be several flavors available including Nutella, regular glazed, circus animal cookie (yay!), and others, including rotating flavors.

K Dogs- short for a Korean dog-on-a-stick, you'll have the option for a beef hot dog middle, a cheese middle, or half-and-half. K Dog batter is different from American corn dog, as it typically uses a flour batter instead.

Kokomo will offer Flamin' hot crust or potato crust, along with several condiment options.

Boba Teas- delicious Asian-inspired sweet drinks served with boba, bursting bubbles or jellies. One of my very favorite treats. Kokomo has serval flavors and add-ins for these drinks.

And more! The website menu also has friends, potstickers, eggrolls, and more to try.

I'm very excited for a delicious new snack option here in Lubbock. Welcome soon Kokomo!
