
North Texas Hit With 1,000 Layoffs From HelloFresh, Chewy
It’s tough hearing about anyone losing their job, especially in our home state of Texas. But that is the unfortunate reality for many people across Texas.
According to My San Antonio, there are two big and well-known companies in Texas that are having to make some layoffs.
Nearly 1,000 Jobs Cut Between These Two Companies
It’s not great to hear that HelloFresh the online food delivery service that is popular on YouTube and loved by the younger audience.
The other company making cuts is popular with pet owners for food and toys, known as Chewy.
The two national suppliers are making cuts of 674 people and 273 people, in total 947 people are expected to be laid off.
Grand Prairie Distribution Center Closing
There are 273 employees working at the Grand Prairie distribution center for HelloFresh and they all will have their last day on May 13th.

Last Day for Chewy Employees?
According to a Texas Workforce Commission filing, Chewy will be letting 674 employees go on May 10th. This layoff is permanent.
