Today's Throwback Thursday has us revisiting the iconic Cactus Canyon in Victoria, Texas. So many great memories, I mean, where else were you gonna get 10 cent beer?

Thursday night at Cactus was always packed, and on a Saturday night, that entire parking lot was filled all the way to Furr's Cafeteria, another place that doesn't exist anymore. Times have changed! Did you know Vanilla Ice once performed a show there? During his grunge days, but still cool. Just the picture brings back memories.

Cactus Canyon opened its doors back in November of 1998 before permanently closing in April 2018. Shortly after, the Hay Room opened up in its location. That was short-lived. Do you have any photos, videos from Cactus? We would love to see them, send them to us via the message button on our app.

We also miss Furr's Cafeteria.

Some of you might not know, but before that location was Cactus, it was Victoria's first  Chuck E Cheese location. Right next to that was the original K-Mart location in Victoria.
In the parking lot was Furr's Cafeteria. That place was the bomb.
I still remember the smile from the salad lady to greet you. I can't tell you how many trips I took to the little window for my "refills" of food. I wouldn't be surprised if my car is in this picture.

Just look at those prices for an all you can eat buffet. You can find everything on TikTok.
