Texas Man Sues Whataburger for $1 Million Over Onion-Topped Burger

Whataburger is being sued for $1 million by a Houston man for having onions on his burger. The man states that he ordered the burger with no onions. The alleged event occurred on July 24th of 2024. Demery Ardell Wilson claims to have had an allergic reaction to his burger with no onions. According to the complaint and a report from KENS 5,  had to seek the care of medical professionals after sustaining "serious personal injuries" due to the onion.

Wilson is seeking monetary relief over $250,000 but less than $1 million, along with damages Side note, this is not the first time that Wilson has sued a restaurant for putting onions on a burger. He also sued Sonic back in June of 2024.
