Insane: These Are the Highest Gas Prices in Lubbock Right Now

Gas prices are soaring these days and will likely continue to climb, given the events unfolding across the globe. For those in the oil and gas industry, congratulations! You guys are going to be driving new flashy cars and wearing fancy new clothes. The rest of us? Well, we're sort of screwed.

I'm pretty terrible about actually looking for cheap places to buy gas but I always find myself desperately needing it. When I finally get around to filling up my gas tank, driving a few more miles to get to the cheap stuff isn't always at the forefront of my mind. It's something I definitely need to work on. If my grandpa was alive today and knew the prices I've paid as of late, he'd be furious. Sorry, grandpa.

Love's Travel Stop currently has the highest price in town, at a whopping $3.61 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. It's much higher than every other place right now, and you should definitely not fill up there if you're looking to get the most bang for your buck. Tied for second are Phillips 66, Circle K, EZ-Mart and Valero. These guys are going to charge you $3.49. Although that's substantially less than Love's, it's still pretty terrible.

The very best place that you can buy gas right now is Costco. They're clocking in prices at $3.07. Might be time to become a member and get those great gas prices. I don't have a Costco card, but today may just be the day.
