Zac Brown Band is going to take the stage for a gigantic audience on July 9, when they play the State Farm Home Run Derby. The event is part of the Major League Baseball All-Star game, but before the best of baseball players face off against each other in a nine-inning game, the league’s biggest hitters will see who can hit the most home runs. The derby will air live on ESPN, and Zac Brown Band will be the lucky country stars to play their hits for a national audience.

Zac Brown Band will kick off the night with a country music medley of ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘Chicken Fried.’ The good, old-fashioned American medley will air around 6:55PM CT on the MLB Network to close out ‘MLB Tonight: All-Star Edition.’ After that, the band will follow with their single ‘The Wind’ off of their new album ‘Uncaged.’ It will air on ESPN just before the derby starts.

Even though playing to hundreds of thousands of sports fans is a pretty good gig, it’s surprising that the members Zac Brown Band have time to fit this major league performance into their schedule. The band is playing dozens of shows this summer, surely to promote ‘Uncaged.’ The summer tour will take the group all over the eastern part of the United States.
