Women's Protective Services of Lubbock wants to provide an environment that is as close to "healthy" and home-like as possible for children in shelters. So, at this time of year, they want to make sure those kids can still have a fun Halloween.

When women flee from a domestic violence situation, many times it's at night, in a hurry and with no time to take belongings. As Steven Garcia with WPS said: "We want the kids to not be deprived of that experience. We want them to feel, since this is their home right now, we want them to feel as comfortable as they can."

The group needs sizes for infants to 17 years of age. You can call them with your costume donation at (806) 747-6491.

And if you are faced with a domestic violence situation, please do not be afraid to get help. Women's Protective Services has a 24-hour-crisis line: (806) 747-6491.
