Wines & Vines Event to Benefit Lubbock Meals on Wheels

This Friday and Saturday (May 29-30), McPherson Cellars will host its Annual Wines & Vines to benefit Lubbock Meals on Wheels.

I talked with Emily Simpson from McPherson Cellars and Mary Gerlach from Lubbock Meals on Wheels about the event.

"There will also be live music, food trucks and lots of wine for sale and tastings from 15 different Texas wineries," said Simpson.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Lubbock Meals on Wheels.

"McPherson Cellars has done this for several years and has donated over $36,000 to Lubbock Meals on Wheels," said Gerlach.

The event is from 6 -10 p.m. Friday night, and Noon - 10 p.m. Saturday.

A one-day pass, which includes 10 wine coupons, costs $20. A two day-pass is $30 and includes 20 wine tickets. A wine ticket is good for one ounce or tasting of wine.
