KXAN reports 38-year-old Asher Quinn Hoxie of Stephenville was supposed to be watching the cattle but instead he sold them all and kept the money.

Hoxie was in charge of the 240 cattle from the Odessa rancher who had grown ill.  But instead he sold 210 cattle and 30 horses back in 2012.  He's now being held on a charge of misapplication of fiduciary property over $200,000.00

According to the report, the investigation began in March. Authorities are still trying to locate the stolen livestock.

The Odessa rancher did survive his life-threatening illness.
