If you love being outside and things that glow in the dark get you going, then this Friday, April 24, you've got to take part in the Wesley Foundation 2015 Glow Run/Walk & Family Mile on the Texas Tech Campus.

I talked with Dillon Edwards, Director of Fundraising for the Wesley Foundation, about the run. He said it's a family event designed to accommodate all levels of athlete. If you are an elite runner or walk around your neighborhood, this event is for you.

Preregistration through this Thursday (April 23) is $30, and $35 this Friday (April 24) the night of the event.

A pre-race rally will take place this Friday night at 8:30 p.m. and the race kicks off at 9 p.m. Dillon also said that the registration fee includes a glow in the dark t-shirt as well as your entry for the race.

He said that they will also have glow-in-the-dark spray paint, glow sticks, glow in the dark frisbees and glowing markers along the race. So it should be a glow-tastic, fun event for everyone and benefiting a great organization.

All proceeds benefit the Wesley Foundation, which is a non-profit student ministry whose main mission is to provide community for the students of Texas Tech and to raise up a generation of Christian leaders.
