Strange things seem to be happening to one of Saturn's rings according to information received from NASA's Cassini Orbiter. Researchers are seeing objects up to a half a mile wide breaking through Saturn's F ring, the last outermost ring away from the planet. As they pass through the ring they leave behind a trail of ice particles and debris that are being called mini-jets. The F ring is held in check by two moons Prometheus and Pandora which weave inside and outside the ring. Some of the mini-jets travel in groups to create rippling swirls and eddies.
