A shooting at a restaurant in Waco, Texas Sunday afternoon (May 17) between three biker groups has left at least nine people dead and several more wounded.

According to KWTX, the shooting happened at the Twin Peaks Restaurant in the Central Texas Market Place near Don Carlos Mexican Restaurant.

Waco police, along with deputies from the McLennan County Sheriff's Office, Department of Public Safety troopers and officers from other cities, all responded to the shooting.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton told KWTX that prior to erupting into a shootout, the biker groups were fighting with various weapons, including chains, clubs and knives. Swanton said that gang members were shooting at each other, and officers at the scene were also exchanging gun fire.

Wounded victims were taken to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Medical Center.
