After more than three decades of making history, Voyager 1 has "left the building." Voyager 1 has left our solar system and is on its way to through the uncharted territory of the Milky Way. At 11 miles per second, Voyager 1 continues to send information even as far out as 11 billion miles away from our sun. Voyager 1 will become the first man-made object to enter the interstellar space. Voyager 1 is telling us that it is basically in "purgatory" and whatever it is pushing against currently, "keeps pushing back."
