Cell phone video shows a recent arrest in Austin that escalated from a simple arrest to an unfortunate use of force.KEYE TV obtained the video from Rolando Ramiro from last Friday's arrest.  It doesn't show what happened before as the video starts with the suspect already arguing and resisting arrest.

The police report says a group had been climbing over a barricade and jaywalking. They were charged with traffic and city violations and resisting arrest.

Again, we don't know what happened before the video started. I will say this, if the cops just started to take these guys down for jaywalking, yeah, that's going a little too far.

However, if they were questioning the police, talking back and being uncooperative then you can warrant their actions. The problem is the witnesses and people around the situation are making it worse.

Police don't know if someone behind them has a gun or knife, the more you crowd the police, the more nervous they're going to get, which can lead to them getting more worried for their safety.

The anti-police rhetoric has made their jobs harder and unfortunately we're going to see more and more situations get out of control, mostly due to the outside interference and people's disrespect towards authority.
