Alysia Montano made her first Olympic team this year for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and has become iconic with her 'flower power'.

Sporting the Hibiscus flower in her hair every single race, Alysia Montano says she gives it everything and uses heart to be aggressive to push her to her goals and win her faces.

In an interview after coming out on top in the US Olympic Trials, she talks about not qualifying for the last Olympic games and what winning this means to her.

The flower she sports every races, she says, means strength with femininity. In the interview she says:

"When people say things like, "you run like a girl' it doesn't mean that you have to run soft and dainty. It means  that you're strong."

So many young girls will look up to her, and rightly so. The era of 'Girl Power' may not be back, but at least the younger generation of girls now have a strong, heart-filled woman to look up to.
