Congressman Randy Neugebauer joined Lubbock's First News on KFYO Monday morning (July 6th) and briefly talked about Greek citizens voting "NO" on Sunday's referendum concerning their country's debt.

"What we're watching unfold here is, could it be the beginning of a number of countries that could have to do the very same thing," said Neugebauer. "Globally we've got a number of countries including the U.S. of A that have been borrowing money to operate on and the debt increases and increases."

America's debt is now over $18 trillion, which is $56,000 per American citizen.

If Greece goes down this road, there are a number of European countries who are in a similar boat such as Spain, Portugal and France to name a few.
