The Texas Tech Red Raiders had three players drafted during the NFL Draft, and two more added through free agency.

La'Raven Clark, DeAndre Washington and Jakeem Grant were all drafted and are working to sign rookie deals to be in the NFL for the next three to four years.

Now, Micah Awe and Pete Robertson join them in the NFL with Awe joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Robertson joining the Seahawks. That's five new Red Raiders on NFL rosters, and there may be a 6th with Taylor Symmank attending a rookie mini-camp with the Minnesota Vikings.

According to Texastech.com, Awe was one of five team captains elected for the 2015 season, starting in each of Tech’s 13 games. He led the team with 126 tackles and also had a team-leading 77 solo tackles. He ranked 13th nationally in solo tackles per game (5.9) and 18th in total tackles per game (9.7). He ranked second in the Big 12 for both categories as well.

Robertson appeared in 12 games while making 11 starts in 2015, leading the Red Raiders with 13.5 tackles for a loss, which totaled 40 yards.

He also led the Red Raiders' defense with five sacks and three quarterback hurries, and concluded his career ranked fifth among Red Raider career sack leaders with 21.0. In 2014, Robertson led the Big 12 and ranked sixth nationally with 12.0 sacks.

Since they weren't drafted, Robertson and Awe will have to work much harder to make the final 53-man roster that's finalized in August.
