While both Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks are highly celebrated names in country music, they’re also parents, which does more to dictate their schedule at the moment than audience demand. However, with their youngest daughter set to graduate high school in 2014, the couple are starting to let themselves dream about life as empty-nesters.

While some couples look forward to that time so they can rest and enjoy being home together, the country celeb couple have stars in their eyes about other things, like touring and making a duet record together.

In a recent interview with ABC News Radio, Yearwood hinted that, while she’s currently recording a solo album, the next project in the pipeline just might be a duets album with her husband once the kids are all away at college. “That would be the time to release a duet album because if you’re touring together and you can actually sing the songs together onstage, that would make the most sense,” she said.

Even though they haven’t reached the empty nest phase quite yet, Yearwood and Brooks still make onstage appearances together, with the ‘Friends in Low Places’ singer inviting his wife onstage at the end of his each of his shows in Las Vegas, where he’s currently a regular show at the Wynn.

“I’m like shiny quarter, and people go crazy and it’s fun,” says Yearwood. “So, I get that little moment of getting to go out and shine, and then I’m done.”

She may be the shiny quarter in Brooks’ shows, but in her own thriving career, the country starlet premiered her cooking show ‘Trisha Yearwood’s Kitchen‘ last month on Food Network.
