Hubert K. Covel, Jr. is Toby Keith's late father and who Toby credits with giving him his fighting drive, his work ethic and special advice on dealing with bullies. Toby says in one interview, "My father would say, 'Do whatever you have to do to shut it down, you know. Fight. We would fight the bully. If you let the guy bully you every day at school, it's going to continue to go. So, it's better to take that ass-whooping the first day and get it over with, and then they usually leave you alone."

Toby's "Made in America" is about his father and the contributions he made to his generation of America. The song encourages everyone to be more American. It's pretty inspirational and will make you check out a product's label, hoping it reads, "Made in America". Here's that great song.
