The latest in the "Twilight" movies, "Breaking Dawn" opens today in movie theatres nationwide, and crowds are expected to flock once again to the most popular saga about vampires. Rob Weiner, Texas Tech librarian and film expert, tells Texas Tech News that Twilight touches people because it is fundamentally a romance and its popularity comes as movie-goers identify with the characters. "It may be a dysfunctional romance with vampires and werewolves, but it is a romance all the same.

Although its main characters are traditional monsters, Twilight really has little in common with the horror genre as a whole."
