There seem to be clear distinctions between many of the states when you search for keywords on online dating sites.

Match.com and Mashable teamed up to to find out what each state's most used descriptive word was. I'm assuming they're talking about the oil industry, but "oil" is the most common in Texas, Oklahoma and North Dakota. I'm also assuming guys are using that to their advantage or women are searching for a man in the oil industry.

You can see the map for yourself here. Perhaps the strangest one is Mississippi that has "Lookin'" as their most common word. What does that mean?  Just Lookin' or I'm lookin' through your windows?  Weird, and besides Missouri is the "Show Me State" so why is Mississippi "lookin'"??

Another strange one is New York.  "Museum" was their most common word.  Yeah, nothing says a hot first date like a "Museum" but that's just me.  Tennessee had "Porch" as their most common word. I guess that's their idea of a cheap date, we'll just sit on the porch.

Online dating has become pretty big over the years so it's always interesting to see what attracts people to a profile. I guess Texas thinks "Oil" is the big draw, and who knows, maybe it works!
