It was a cold and icy weekend, but rather than sit around a cry about it, we decided to get out the camera and take pictures.

We took these around the pool area at our Lubbock apartments. Ironically the pool was still open, and no, I didn't go for  swim!

Our pool was actually quite beautiful with the ice formations.

The rain and mist put a layer of ice over all the plants, it was quite impressive as they glistened in the sun.

The pine trees had a nice frosty look to them.

You can see how the power lines and trees can break when you have this much ice gathering on the branches.

In a few months (hopefully even less) people will be enjoying the outdoors by the pool, but now it looks cold and frozen, but somehow very pretty too.
