Gohan Japanese Fusion in Lubbock, Texas

Gohan Japanese Fusion is now open at 4921 Kemper Street at University Avenue and offers a delicious fast and friendly version of O'Hana Japanese Steakhouse.

We reported this one a while back and have been anticipating the opening, ready to try delicious new fusion food. Good news, y'all -- the doors are finally open, and it's time to visit this exciting new place.

The owners of Gohan, who also own O'Hana Japanese Steakhouse, are Texas Tech alumni from Taiwan. The new place offers up a fusion of the wonderful complex flavors and sauces enjoyed at their big restaurant in a simple straightforward, build-a-bowl affordable style eatery according to their website.

The photos on their website look delicious, and the restaurant looks sparkling, bright, cheery and sleek. So of course I couldn't wait to give it a try. My experience was fantastic!

My very first Bubble Tea was fruity and full of bubbly bursts of peach -- excellent. What is a bubble? A little pea-size ball of flavor burst. You choose your flavor and they put a bunch in your tea along with a big straw. (It's pictured in the gallery above).

The food was fresh and delicious with incredible flavor to savor in every bite. The noodles were excellent and...I'm failing miserably at really describing this! Let's just say I give it two great big thumbs up. You'll want to give Gohan Japanese Fusion a try.
