On Wednesday, a Texas woman and her teenage passengers were hit in their minivan by a person fleeing police. Jessica Leismann, the driver, helped hold the suspect until police officers could catch up and detain him. And now, she's been given a brand new vehicle by a Dallas car dealership.

As a general rule, authorities ask that citizens don't intervene during criminal activities. But you can't help but feel terrible for these folks who had their minivan wrecked and barely escaped serious injury.

Here's the raw footage of the accident. Fast forward to the 4:50 mark to see the confrontation.
