Texas Waiter Accused of Adding Tip Without Customer’s Permission

The IHOP employee from Austin was charged with credit card or debit card abuse after he gave himself and unauthorized tip.

According to KEYE Richard Barfield added $6.00 to a $2.00 tip.  The woman checked her transactions online and noticed the wrong total.

Authorities were able to track it back to Barfield and he was arrested.

Barfield was released from custody on a $5,000 bond.
