The hits just keep coming for the Texas Tech football team. The Red Raiders' running game has been lackluster at best, and it's now down a talented back as Corey Dauphine has announced his intent to transfer from Texas Tech.

Dauphine took to Twitter to announce the decision:

Dauphine had two carries this season, including a 27-yard touchdown against Stephen F. Austin. The decision to transfer comes after Texas Tech's worst loss of the season at the hands of the West Virginia Mountaineers.

There are obvious questions that stem from any departure, but when an underused, former 4-star running back leaves the program mid-season with only two carries and two struggling running backs ahead of him on the depth chart, there are some serious concerns for this 3-3 team with a struggling head coach.

Texas Tech is obviously underperforming, but talented players transferring are just pouring salt on the wounds.
