It's not the NCAA, but the WNIT and the Texas Tech Lady Raiders are making the most of it to play on. Play on they did last night, rolling to an 85-71 win over Eastern Illinois in the United Spirit Arena.

Tech sophomore forward Shauntal Nobles was a force in the 2nd half. Tech only had a four point lead at the half. Then Nobles came on and hit 12 of her career high 18 points. She also cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds which was also a career high. Tech out-rebounded the Panthers 27-11 in the second half.

Ever since Nobles has gotten the nod to start, she has really stepped up and has take on the challenge.

Tech had their shots falling, shooting 50 percent. Nobles had a double-double, the third of her career. She had a supporting cast with Casey Morris hitting for 17, Chynna Brown had 14 points and Monique Smalls added 13.

It was a great way to start the WNIT. Tech has won three of their four games.

The Lady Raiders will play Tulane in 2nd round action Sunday at 2pm in the United Spirit Arena. Tulane comes into the game at 20-10.
